Stovetop Saute Of Pork N Veggies Over Yellow Rice Recipe
Ingredients
- 1-1 1/2 pounds of pork cut for stew and pounded
- seasoned flour to coat
- sesame oil
- dash of white wine
- 1 small pat butter
- 1 bunch green onions chopped in 1 inch pieces
- 1 small bag chopped frozen vidaila or Texas sweet onions
- sliced large green pimento olives
- leftover veggies:
- I had a handful of peas
- about 8 string beans
- chopped tomatoes ( from tacos)
- spoonful sour cream
- 4 red or green chili peppers sliced very thin
- frozen and thawed pork gravy
- rice in broth
Instructions
- Start rice so it finishes cooking in about 25 minutes
- I subbed broth for water
- Heat saute pan
- on medium heat
- add butter and oil
- when hot add floured meat
- should cook in about 4 minutes and remove from pan
- add onion and peppers cook about 2-3 minutes
- add gravy
- add sour cream and dash of wine
- add eat and all veggies to heat
- Place cooked creamy rice on platter(cooked according to package directions with added oil or butter)
- Pour meat mixture over
- Serve and enjoy with a glass of chilled Greenleaf Zinfandel
- Hot biscuits go well also or french bread
